Tis the Season
Stay warm this winter
It’s the holidays, folks, and you know what that means: it’s time to celebrate the Darkest Days of the Year with friends, family, and lovers. When the days grow so short and cold, we stave off the weariness by eating heaps of our newly harvested foods, cuddling up by a crackling fire, and buying copious gifts to sling out to all those we cherish. Well here’s your chance to do all that and support me and my show, Completely Arbortrary.
Yes, that’s right: as many of you know, my main gig is running a podcast called Completely Arbortrary. (If you’re new here, hi! Wow, welcome! I think you’d like my podcast, it’s way more about trees than this newsletter, so please go give it a listen and tell me what you think!) Right now, Alex and I are in the throes of a Autumnal Pre-Order Sale, and I wanted to make sure you all knew about it before it’s too late.
YOU HAVE UNTIL THE END OF THIS WEEK TO ORDER A BRAND NEW SHIRT AND GET IT BY CHRISTMAS!
Here’s what you can get for yourself or that special tree lover in your life:
Our coveted Dawn Redwood long sleeve t-shirt is back! And not only that, but we’ve added white as a color option, along with the same design on a crewneck sweater! It’s just so damn cozy.
Do you like oaks way more than dawn redwood? Well then have we got a shirt for you! We added a new Oregon White Oak design option for the long sleeve t-shirt! It’s also available as a crewneck sweater, and all options are available in black and white.
We’re also re-releasing our collage tote in two colors, but we couldn’t end it there: we’ve added a new design to the mix featuring three trees from our very first season! It’s truly a beautiful tote, and let me tell you: its usefulness is undeniable.
Finally, of course, there is my book: The Trees Around You. We are officially selling it on the Podcast’s website, so if you’ve been waiting to buy it direct from me, now you can! Buying through Completely Arbortrary online or directly through me in person is the #1 best way to support me (#2 is buying it from your local bookstore, or specifically requesting them to order some, and #3 is literally anywhere else it’s for sale).
Now, you may recall that I set out a goal of selling all the books from the first printing—all 6,000 of them—before the end of the year. Well, the update on that goal is that we’ve sold 1/3 of them so far! This is no small feat, people. I am just floored by the support from you all, and when the question, “What are you thankful for this year?” comes up in a few days, the answer will undoubtedly be: all of you.
However, now’s the time to buy one if you’re thinking about it, or if you’re looking for that gift for the holidays, or if you’re just looking to pad that library. So get out and snag one ASAP.
And finally there is one last thing that I would like to ask of all of you right now because it has the possibility to blow this thing UP: go give my book a review on Amazon and on Goodreads. You know I wouldn’t ask unless it’s important. This is important. The more folks tell the internet about it, the more the internet tells folks about it, and that’s just the way of the world.
I love you all, thanks so much for everything.
